Acts Retirement-Life Communities Announces Westminster Village Board Appointment

Acts Retirement-Life Communities, one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit senior living organizations, has named the Reverend Eugene (Tony) Soper to the Board of Directors of Westminster Village, a not-for-profit affiliate of Acts Retirement-Life Communities located in Spanish Fort, Alabama. The community is home to approximately 225 residents.

Rev. Soper is a resident of Westminster Village where he continues to minister to residents and staff.  Rev. Soper has spent over 50 years in ministry through various conferences of the United Methodist Church.

Rev. Soper received his B.A. degree from McKendree College and a M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. Since officially retiring from Pastoral services, Rev. Soper has continued to glorify God in ministry and service. Having been called to the ministry in 1966, Rev. Soper has spent a lifetime serving the Lord and his congregants. His service to the Board of Westminster Village is another avenue to serve Christ.

“We are very pleased to have Reverend Soper serve as member of our Board of Directors,” said Acts’ Chief Executive Officer and Westminster Village Board Chair Gerald T. Grant. “Tony brings a history of service, a background consistent with our mission, and the unique perspective as an Acts resident, that will be a benefit to our governance team as we continue to enhance our mission and position ourselves for the future of senior living services.
