What does it mean to stay active as we age? Residents across Acts Retirement-Life Communities offered an inspiring answer at this year’s Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Mid-South OlympiActs events — a celebration of fitness, friendship, and the incredible things we can accomplish at every age.

Bringing together residents from Acts communities across each region, these annual gatherings combined friendly competition with plenty of laughter and encouragement. From the moment participants arrived at the host community to the final cheers during the awards ceremony, the enthusiasm was contagious and proved athletic ability and a competitive spirit aren't defined by age.

Residents put their skills to the test in a variety of events, including ping pong, water volleyball, walking relays, cornhole, billiards, chair volleyball, swimming relays, and more. Whether competing for a medal, cheering on teammates or trying something new, participants demonstrated the determination and joy that come from staying active and continuing to challenge themselves.

These regional events also give residents the chance to connect with friends from other communities and encourage one another along the way. The excitement extends well beyond the playing field, creating lasting memories and reinforcing the value of an active, engaged lifestyle.

At Acts, wellness goes beyond physical fitness. It also means nurturing relationships and finding meaningful ways to stay involved in the things that bring us joy. OlympiActs brings that philosophy to life, showing what residents can accomplish when they keep moving and remain open to new experiences.
