Westminster Village is proud to receive the prestigious 2022 Nappie Award for Best Retirement Community for its fourth consecutive year! The Spanish Fort retirement community is a faith-based, not-for-profit community providing an active lifestyle for seniors while offering a continuum of care. Nappie Award winners are voted by the readers of Lagniappe Weekly which covers all of Baldwin and Mobile Counties.

"We are honored to receive the Nappie award as best retirement community for the fourth year running and so proud to be recognized as the premiere community in the tri-county area," said Joseph Meadows, Executive Director. "Our staff looks forward to the daily opportunity to enhance the lives of the seniors we serve in the Eastern Shore and Mobile areas."

The Spanish Fort community recently underwent an extensive multi-million dollar renovation project on its 88 single family cottages. It also added a new upscale Courtyard Lounge and entertainment area to its clubhouse with a coffee bar and renovated mail room, which offers beautiful views of its gardens and outdoor fountain area.

Westminster Village is part of the Acts Retirement-Life Communities family which celebrated its 50th anniversary this year and is recognized as one of the nation’s largest providers of senior living housing and services. Acts affiliated with Presbyterian Retirement Corporation, Inc., which owned and operated Westminster Village in 2017. Since then, Acts has substantially invested in the community to modernize the residences and recreation spaces to appeal to the next generation of seniors.
