What are Affordable Places to Retire in Georgia and Alabama, Not Coastal?

Two popular choices are Gainesville, GA and Huntsville, AL. These locations are not coastal and have a great downtown area with shops, restaurants and culture; best of all, if you choose a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), she’ll have instant access to excellent healthcare and a positive social atmosphere with likeminded adults her own age.

The most common reason retirees move a CCRC, is to have greater financial peace of mind for them and their families.
