Acts Family of Charitable Funds

The Acts Family of Charitable Funds support benevolence, program and capital  development objectives core to the mission for all Acts communities, residents and employees.   

Acts Samaritan Fund

This fund help relieve the financial burden which can confront any Acts resident when the unexpected dissipation of personal resources makes it difficult or even impossible to meet the total cost of care. When community specific benevolent assistance funds, known as Samaritan, Benevolence and Heritage Funds, are insufficient, this greatest fund need supplements the community in meeting their benevolent resident assistance financial need.

Acts Corporate University

This fund assists Acts by supplementing costs for this "university without walls," which provides professional and personal education opportunities for Acts employees.

Mark Vanderbeck Memorial Scholarship Fund

When Acts CEO Mark Vanderbeck unexpectedly passed away in 2017, Acts established the Mark Vanderbeck Memorial Scholarship Fund, which supports the educational and career development of Acts employees. This fund honors his legacy through employee scholarships.

Acts Gerontological Research Institute Fund

This fund engages scientific methodology in applied research and explores ways to better provide quality services for our residents and the nation’s older adults. The Institute’s goal is to generate quality research results in areas studying practical aspects of providing care and services for seniors.

Acts Employee Catastrophic Fund

With over 6,200 employees, Acts expects that some  individuals may experience a catastrophic life event, or even a regional natural disaster impacting the many employees of the Acts family.  This fund provides for one-time financial assistance to employees facing these unique circumstances.

Acts Disciple Fund

A unique program for retired members of the clergy of all faiths with limited personal resources. This fund provides assistance to reduce entrance and/or maintenance fees for residency in an Acts community. 

Acts Special Care - Memory Support Fund

This fund enables the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment, staff education, facility expansion and improvement, and ongoing support for dementia programs and services.
