Can My Pet Live with Me?
Dear Acts,
I’ve heard wonderful things about the lifestyle and care at Acts Retirement communities, but there’s one thing I’m really concerned about: my dog. He’s been my companion for years, and I can’t imagine moving without him. Can pets live with their owners at Acts?
— Pet Parent in Pennsylvania
Dear Pet Parent,
We love hearing that your dog is such an important part of your life—because at Acts, we believe pets are family too! Many of our residents bring their furry friends along when they move in, and we have a pet-friendly policy that makes it easy for you to continue enjoying life with your pet.
Most of our communities allow pets, with specific guidelines in place to ensure the comfort of both residents and animals. These guidelines typically include rules about pet size, behavior, and the number of pets allowed, so that all residents can live happily together. We also have outdoor spaces where pets can roam, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy time together in the fresh air.
Of course, each community might have different policies, so we encourage you to check with your chosen Acts location to understand the exact details and any requirements. But rest assured, your furry friend will be welcomed with open arms—and a wagging tail!
Best,
An Acts Retirement Expert
