Residents and guests arriving at The Terraces at Bonita Springs already enjoy a welcoming atmosphere that feels more like a boutique resort than a traditional senior living community. Soon, that first impression will become even more inviting as the community embarks on an extensive renovation of its entrance and main lobby designed to elevate both the aesthetics and functionality while preserving its timeless character.

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer, with completion anticipated by late fall. The renovation will encompass both the arrival experience and the main lobby, transforming the space into a brighter and more sophisticated environment that better reflects the community’s exceptional lifestyle.

The modernized vision centers on preserving the Mediterranean-inspired architecture that has long defined The Terraces while introducing a fresh European look and feel. Elegant marble finishes, lighter materials, enhanced natural light, and refined architectural details will create a cleaner, brighter, and more contemporary atmosphere throughout the space.

"Our goal is to honor the character of The Terraces while creating a fresh, yet elegant, arrival experience for residents and guests," said Ann Walsh, Executive Director of The Terraces at Bonita Springs. "The new lobby will not only be beautiful, but it will also mirror the vibrant lifestyle our residents enjoy every day."

The redesigned lobby will feature comfortable seating areas designed for conversation, relaxation, and informal gatherings. It will also function as a grand central thoroughfare, seamlessly connecting residents and visitors to the many restaurants, amenities, wellness spaces, and social destinations located throughout the community.

For residents, the improvements represent another exciting enhancement to a community they already love calling home.

"I've always loved the warmth and elegance of The Terraces," said longtime resident JoAnn Vogel. "The plans for the new lobby sound beautiful and will make an already wonderful community even more inviting. The Terraces has always exuded a warmth from the moment you walk through the doors," she said. "The renovation will take that welcoming feeling to the next level.”

The project is part of a broader commitment by Acts Retirement-Life Communities to continually reinvest in its affiliate, The Terraces at Bonita Springs, ensuring that the community remains among Southwest Florida's premier senior living destinations. Through significant capital improvements and ongoing enhancements, the not-for-profit organization continues to strengthen the resident experience at The Terraces while preserving the quality, beauty, and lifestyle that have defined the community for decades.
