Landmark 109-acre expansion will add new residences, resort-style amenities, and other transformative enhancements at the nationally recognized senior living community 

[Rock Hill, SC] — July 31, 2026 — One of the largest senior living developments in the Carolinas is about to take shape in Rock Hill as Park Pointe Village breaks ground on a significant expansion that will transform its campus with new residences and resort-style amenities as demand for active senior living surges across the region. The expansion project investment is valued at over $200 million. 

Acts Retirement-Life Communities (Acts) is adding 109 new acres at Park Pointe Village, the largest expansion in the community’s history, including 130 new independent living residences in its initial phase with an 18,000-square-foot clubhouse, two new restaurants, along with new wellness, fitness, and social spaces among other enhancements. 

A groundbreaking ceremony took place Friday, July 31, 2026, bringing together resident leadership, local officials, project partners, and Acts leadership to celebrate the start of construction.  

The multi-phase expansion comes as York County’s older adult population continues to grow, increasing demand for senior living communities designed to meet the evolving lifestyle and wellness expectations of today's older adults.

Park Pointe Village Expansion Highlights 

  • Initial phase: 130 new independent living residences, including contemporary apartments and duplex carriage homes 

  • An 18,000-square-foot clubhouse serving as the social heart of the community 

  • Multiple dining venues, wellness and fitness spaces, gathering areas, walking trails, and pickleball courts 

  • 20 new assisted living suites and a dedicated memory care neighborhood 

  • Renovations and enhancements throughout the existing campus
