Right in time for Veteran’s Day, Lanier Village Estates resident Amos “Hess” Bomberger was featured yesterday in the local Gainesville newspaper for his amazing story, helping to bring attention to the greater story of veterans all across America who proudly served their country.

This year marked the 75th anniversary of historic world event “D-Day,” and this year also marked 75 years that Mr. Bomberger has kept his original bomber jacket issued by the U.S. Air Force intact, as well as his helmet, and several other pieces.

Hess,” as he is affectionately known throughout the community, sat down with the Gainesville Times, giving a heartfelt interview and sharing stories about his time in the service.

You can view the segment here on the Gainesville Times website.

(Atlanta's WXIA-TV station "11 Alive" also did a piece on Mr. Bomberger earlier this year, which you can view here).
