Led by Resident Presidents Nancy Heim and Gordon Mann and their committees, Indian River Estates Good Samaritan Summer proved a raging success for its second consecutive year in terms of charitable giving and participation in activities (car wash, bridge luncheon, bake sales, 50/50s, an Antique Roadshow) which raised more than $10,000 for the IR Samaritan Fund, for those residents who have outlived their resources through no fault of their own. Charitable gift annuities raised another $170,000 for the fund. The Samaritan events were capped off by a Grand Night of Giving at East, where close to 100 residents attended.
