In early 2020, Acts Retirement-Life Communities explored using video to improve social connections between residents and their loved ones, and to virtually introduce potential residents to the Acts lifestyle.

Then along came COVID-19, and video quickly became an invaluable marketing tool, replacing in-person tours and other sales events as a way of introduction to the Acts communities. Since March, Acts sales teams created more than 700 videos and personalized messages to prospects garnering nearly 11,000 views.

Along with virtual tours, sales teams have produced custom-made videos featuring staff interviews, resident testimonials, personalized holiday greetings and experts on moving and downsizing. These videos also provide meaningful connections to senior living prospects who live out of state.

“It has been very helpful,” said Diana Ferguson, the sales manager at Edgewater at Boca Pointe in Boca Raton, Florida. “We have eight move-ins so far this month. The adult children truly appreciate the videos, too who are assisting their loved ones and may not be able to visit our community in person. It offers peace of mind for everyone.”

Kathy Sanderson-St.Rosia, Senior Life Care Consultant at Heron Point of Chestertown agrees with the convenience and peace of mind video offers. “It’s especially helpful for people who live outside our area, to find out if the community is a right fit and worth their time for an on-site visit,” said  Sanderson-St. Rosia.
