Plantation Estates partnered with the 4th grade students of St. Gabriel School for a year-long project that truly enriched the lives of all involved. The group of over 100 students visited a total of five times including once in October and once in December to serenade the seniors.
They returned in March and interviewed 28 residents to learn their life stories. After the student reporters were finished with their inquiries, they made a hard-covered scrapbook depicting each resident's life. The children recently presented their creations to their "grand-buddies" before the school year ended.
These memoirs will be treasured forever by the residents and their families. The seniors and Plantation Estates staff were so impressed and grateful that they wrote thank you notes which were delivered before summer break.
