Park Pointe Village’s Jerry Bickenbach made his first wood bowl in college, but it wasn’t until years later that he was able to devote more time to his woodworking craft. The 76-year-old says he has been working with wood for “20 to 25 years.” Jerry welcomes whatever he can get his hands on, however prefers cherry wood because it finishes well. He manipulates the wood to make many diverse pieces (including hats and eggs) and gives them away to fellow residents and local charities.
