Tryon Estates is home to a wide range of resident groups representing a wide slice of interests.

Among these are biking, and every so often the story is compelling enough for local media to take notice.

This week, the "Cyclepaths," Tryon's resident group of biking enthusiasts, was featured in the Hendersonville Times-News, and online at BlueRidgeNow.com.

Several residents were individually profiled, offering personal commentary on what the group, and biking in general, means to them.

John Mifflin, the group's 94-year old leader, spoke to the newspaper, as did fellow members Hunter Coleman, Bruce Greenawalt, Katherine Jeter, and Tryon Fitness Trainer Caroline Eller.
