Why is Acts introducing these changes?
These updates are designed to support Acts’ long-term mission, reflect the evolving preferences of today’s residents, and help ensure the financial strength and sustainability of the organization for generations to come. For residents, this offers confidence in the long-term stability of Acts.
What is MyActs Wallet?
MyActs Wallet is a flexible, declining-balance program that future residents may use for dining and certain ancillary services. It is designed to meet the expectations of residents by providing greater flexibility, personalization, and choice.
What is a declining-balance dining plan?
A declining-balance plan allows residents to use prefunded dining dollars for meals and services as desired, with the balance decreasing as purchases are made.
How many Wallet options are available?
There are three Wallet options available: Standard, Enhanced, and Ultimate. The Standard Wallet is included in the monthly fee, while Enhanced and Ultimate plans are available for an additional monthly charge.
How do I choose a Wallet package?
Your Sales Representative and Move-In Coordinator will guide you through the MyActs Wallet program using videos, printed materials, and the MyActs Life App. Residents will initially be enrolled in the Standard Wallet option and may make changes within the first 30 days of move-in or at the beginning of a new quarter.
Can I change my Wallet option after move-in?
Yes. Residents may change their Wallet option at the start of a new quarter. Changes must be made at least two days prior to the end of the current quarter.
Can two residents in the same residence select different plans?
Yes. Each resident receives an individual Wallet and may choose different plans. Wallets may also be combined or managed separately within the same household.
Will Wallet balances roll over at month’s end?
Yes. Wallet balances roll forward monthly and may accumulate up to three months’ worth of funds.
Can I opt out of the Wallet program?
No. Participation in the MyActs Wallet program is part of the New Resident Contract.
How will I track my Wallet balance?
Residents will be able to monitor balances and activity through the MyActs Wallet feature within the MyActs Life App.
What happens if my Wallet balance runs out before the next refill?
Any eligible dining or amenity charges incurred after Wallet funds are depleted will simply be added to your monthly statement. Services will continue uninterrupted.
What happens to remaining Wallet funds if my contract ends?
Unused Wallet balances are forfeited upon termination of the Resident Contract and are not refundable.
Can Wallet funds be used for my guests’ meals?
Yes. Both culinary dollars and flex dollars may be used for guest dining.
Can Wallet funds be used for catering?
Yes. Wallet funds may be used for eligible catering services and events.
Will I receive dining credits when away from the community?
No. Dining dollars are structured to support residents while living within the community and are not reduced or credited during time away.
Are there services excluded from Wallet use?
Yes. Certain services and fees are excluded, including insurance-billed services, Medicare-related charges, salon and barber services, third-party vendor services, alcohol purchases, and other non-eligible items.
What are Flex Dollars?
Flex Dollars provide additional flexibility and may be used for select personalized services, including housekeeping, dog walking, and other approved well-being services.
Can Flex Dollars be used for dining?
Yes. Flex Dollars may be used toward dining purchases. However, culinary dining dollars may not be used for Flex Dollar services.
