Dining During a Pandemic (Senior Living News)

The Senior Living News highlighted St. Andrews Estates, in Boca Raton, Florida, for their creativity in dining despite the challenges of Covid-19.

The culinary staff surprised residents on Earth Day with chocolate brownie “flowerpots.” It was truly a team effort to bake and hand-decorate more than 300 Terra Cotta pots that held the chocolate brownie with icing, Oreo dust and an edible flower.

The senior news outlet also recognized Edgewater at Boca Pointe, also in Boca Raton, Florida, for it’s Gourmet Dinner Raffle. Meal tickets were entered into a drawing for a four-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Steven McCracken. Each course was delivered one at a time, so residents were able to experience dining as close as possible to eating in one of the community’s venues.
