Westminster Village has once again earned the title of Best Retirement Community in the 2026 Nappie Awards, marking the sixth time the community has received the Mobile Bay area's highest honor in the retirement community category. The recognition is especially meaningful because it is determined by votes from local residents, reflecting the trust and confidence of the community Westminster Village has proudly served for decades.
Hosted annually by Lagniappe, the Mobile Bay area's largest weekly news and entertainment publication, the Nappie Awards celebrate the businesses, organizations and people voted "best of the best" by readers across Mobile and Baldwin counties. Westminster Village has been a perennial favorite, including an impressive streak of consecutive victories over the years.
Representatives from Westminster Village will accept the award during the 2026 Nappie Awards ceremony on July 17, at the historic Saenger Theatre in downtown Mobile. This year's celebration, themed "A Rhinestone Rodeo," honors the area's top local businesses and organizations.
