Congratulations to Caroline Ellers, Fitness Director from Tryon Estates, and Daniel Parsons, Transportation Director from Matthews Glen, who were presented with LeadingAge North Carolina’s Service Excellence Award recently. This award “honors those in direct service, either as employees or volunteers, who demonstrate extraordinary talent, expertise, and dedication in provision of exceptional service to residents.”

Additional criteria includes: consistent excellence over time in provision of a service or set of services that impacts the daily quality of life of residents, a willingness to exceed the boundaries of an established role in order to deliver the exceptional rather than the expected and a personal commitment above and beyond that which is normally expected to enrich life for another or for others. Way to go! Thank you for being a shining example of the Acts mission!
