Acts' Sr. VP & Chief Information Officer Peter Kress is quoted throughout the article, sharing his expertise on behalf of Acts and the senior living industry. Acts recently partnered with software firm K4Connect to integrate smart home technology and empower residents to stay actively engaged.

"You can live life by app, but do I really want to be that lonely? We always want our environments to be social environments,” Kress said.

In the past year, Kress said, most Acts residents became avid users of videoconferencing platforms, like Microsoft Corp.’s Teams, to stay in touch with friends and family. They participated in virtual book clubs, bible studies and other live-streamed events hosted by their communities, and used apps to order meals from on-site restaurants, among other things.
