St. Andrews Estates is incredibly fortunate to have a large group of veterans living at its Boca Raton retirement community. This year, the community awarded two WWII veterans and 23 Korean War veterans with personalized patriotic Quilts of Valor, handmade by resident volunteers in an emotional ceremony with their family and friends in attendance.

Local TV news stations WPEC, WPBF and Sun Sentinel covered the event. You can watch CBS 12's news clip below.

Family members cheered as their loved ones received the beautiful quilts on stage in a special quilt draping ceremony.  It was a true labor of love as it took about six months for volunteers to quilt this one-of-a-kind tribute to thank each veteran for his selfless, courageous service to our nation.
