77-year old defies odds, competing in marathon after spending life in wheelchair

BOCA RATON, Fla. - A Boca Raton man is proving hat you're never too old to do anything in this life. Gary Elsner is almost 80 and confined to a wheelchair but he's actually competing in his first marathon this weekend at the Palm Beaches Marathon Festival.

Gary Elsner is proving you can never been "too old" to learn something new. He's a first-time athlete at age 77, playing at least four sports without using his legs.

WPTV reporter Alanna Quillen spent some time with Gary at his Edgewater at Boca Pointe home on the day of his big handcycling race.
