It's a double win for Azalea Trace at the widely popular Arc Getaway Crab Cake Cook-off 2022. Team Azalea Trace took home two first place awards at Pensacola's most iconic and well attended fundraiser for Arc Gateway.
The Pensacola retirement community won the Judge's Choice award for the third year straight and firmed up its ultimate bragging rights to Pensacola's best crab cake. This year Azalea Trace added first place in the People's Choice award as well! Team Azalea competed against the most renown, highly-rated coastal seafood restaurants in across the Gulf Coast.
Residents of Azalea Trace, an Acts Retirement-Life Community, feel lucky to be served by this talented culinary team every night. The award-winning crab cake was recently graciously applauded at the community's special event to commemorate Acts 50th year of providing exceptional care to seniors. "This is undoubtedly the best ever culinary team led by Kristin Bonnell and Chef James," said resident Sandy White. "The very best part of living at Azalea Trace is the food and the wonderful staff."

Arc Gateway reported this year's Crab Cake Cook-off was its most successful cook-off fundraiser ever, raising approximately $105,000. All its proceeds support services for more than 1,200 local children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
