 Year-End Gift Planning
The Acts Legacy Foundation is blessed to have its
efforts supported by residents across the organization. The
Acts Samaritan Fund and the community benevolent resident
assistance funds are a priority of most donors. Year-end contributions are crucial in meeting the over $1.68 million in benevolent resident assistance provided in 2018.
As you plan your year-end charitable giving, remember qualified gifts to Acts Legacy Foundation are tax-deductible according to IRS regulations. December 31, 2018 is the deadline for your giving to apply for this tax year.
• Honor someone special on your holiday gift list. Make a tribute gift to Acts Legacy Foundation and we will send a card informing them of your thoughtful recognition.
• Make a New Year’s resolution to add convenient recurring giving. Add a gift to your monthly maintenance statement or automatically billed to your credit card each month.
Consider the many ways to make your end-of-year gift, and keep in mind the lead- time necessary for the Foundation to receive the gift by December 31.
• IRA Charitable Rollover gifts can fulfill your required minimum distribution and eliminate tax on the withdrawal. IRA Administrators will make the distribution to Acts Legacy Foundation at your request. The Foundation will provide a sample letter of instruction to give to your IRA Administrator. A direct gift is possible if you have an IRA check-writing feature.
• To give other assets, such as stock, mutual funds and other securities, please discuss your intent with your broker by early December. The Foundation will provide a Securities Transfer form in order to avoid unidentified gifts.
Please contact your Foundation Regional Director or the Acts Legacy Foundation for more information.
Acts Wishes You a Joyous Holiday Season
As we approach the end of this year, our communities will be celebrating Christmas and Hanukkah. For Christian residents, it’s the birth of Christ, and for Jewish residents it’s God’s faithfulness to an oppressed nation. Whether Christianity or Judaism, or perhaps some other faith tradition represented in our communities, the month of December provides opportunities to express gratitude, to celebrate with family and friends, to reflect on the extent to which we are blessed, and to renew our commitments to the beliefs that anchor us.
Whether it’s singing carols, lighting the menorah, decorating the tree, spinning the dreidel, or participating in some other practice that is meaningful to you,
Acts Staff and the Chaplains who serve all faith traditions represented in our communities wishes all of our residents the blessings of the season and the hope of prosperity in the year to come.
