Activities raise awareness, generate excitement, and create volunteer opportunities. There is a shared sense of accomplishment in reaching charitable goals in support of resident benevolent assistance and other important community needs. Over 1,500 donors participated in activities and fundraising events, resulting in proceeds of more than $465,500. NORTHEAST REGION HIGHLIGHTS Brittany Pointe Estates Residents Association continues to rise to the occasion in support of the Brittany Pointe Estates Samaritan Fund, raising a record-breaking amount. A car wash was held at Fort Washington Estates, with all proceeds going to the Fort Washington Estates Samaritan Fund. Gwynedd Estates held a plant sale, along with their traditional Bake Sale, Hoagie Sale, Pig Roast and Angel Tree, all to benefit their Samaritan Fund. At Normandy Farms Estates residents started funding their WillowBrooke Court Enhancement Project, with goals of state-of-the-art technology and upgraded garden areas for residents. After identifying the need for a new piano, music-loving Southampton Estates residents rallied to make it possible with the help of a large matching gift from a generous donor. Food Network Celebrity Chef Jet Tila demonstrated his award-winning skills for residents and guests at Spring House Estates. Ticket proceeds supported the Acts Samaritan Fund.
