                         With Grateful Hearts
Dear Friends & Supporters,
It is in the spirit of the Scriptures, which teach us that it is a more
blessed experience to give than to receive, that we are once again
humbled by the generosity of our residents, employees, and friends
who have contributed to the work and ministry of Acts Retirement-Life Communities over the past year through their gifts to the Acts Legacy Foundation.
In 2020, generous donors provided more than $4.2 million in charitable gifts to the Acts Legacy Foundation. Residents benefited through community enhancements, grounds and gardens improvements, and wellness initiatives in donor supported funding. Other charitable funds benefited employees though emergency assistance, educational scholarships, and Acts Corporate University initiatives. On the following pages, you will see the impact of your giving and hear from some members of the Acts family on why it is important to support their community.
There is no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic has upended daily routines and impacted countless lives and communities across the world in unprecedented ways. No corner of our society has been left untouched by the effects of the pandemic, including the area of charitable giving. We too have felt the impact within our organization over the past year as the pandemic led to the cancellation of our in-person galas and donor recognition events. These fundraising programs facilitate contributions for worthy community projects, and to build special purpose funds that benefit residents and employees in the spirit of the Acts mission.
Now, more than ever, there is a need to strengthen our culture of philanthropy in support of the Acts ministry. As a donor, or as a volunteer, your involvement in fundraising events, annual charitable donations, life-income gifts, and estate planning is a blessing to the beneficiaries of your generosity and help our organization and our communities continue to grow and flourish.
On behalf of the respective Acts Boards and committees, as well as the residents served through your philanthropy and Loving-Kindness, thank you for your partnership, generosity and support expressed through your donations. We simply could not do what we do without the support of each and every one of our donors, volunteers, and champions in service.
May God continue to bless you, and all of those within the Acts family.
