  The Acts Samaritan Fund
Celebrating 30 Years as a Legacy of Loving Kindness
We are all familiar with the parable of the Good Samaritan in the Bible. It’s the story
of a traveler in distress along the roadside, ignored by others who passed him by, and finally helped by one good Samaritan who lends assistance. Many members of the Acts family have embraced the parable of the Good Samaritan and express their willingness to lend a hand to one another through the Acts Samaritan Fund. Established in 1988 by residents Al and Carrie Lehman, this charitable fund has helped support Acts residents who outlive their financial resources due to factors beyond their control, such as the blessing of a long life.
Over these 30 years, more than 16,000 donors, most being Acts residents, contributed more than $27 million for resident benevolent fund purposes. Annual events, such as the Acts Golf Classic, community galas, and other special sales and events have raised awareness and additional
funds. Individuals, community groups and designated honor and memorial gifts have lent even broader support.
On behalf of those who have benefited from the generosity of our “Good Samaritans,” Acts thanks you!
