In a Letter to the Editor published in TCPalm, Ms. Nancy West of Vero Beach, Florida, expressed her gratitude and how “impressed” she was with the efforts of Indian River Estates staff and residents during Hurricane Irma.

The recent storm marked the second time Ms. West took shelter at the Vero Beach retirement community.

We thank her for her kind words. You can read the full letter here, or by clicking below.

Incredible experience at Indian River Estates during Irma

For the second time in 11 months, I evacuated to Indian River Estates at the invitation of a friend who resides there. Again I was so very impressed at how I was welcomed by its efficient and caring staff. Their own families were there, too, so they could continue to take care of all of us refugees of the storm.
