George R. Gunn, Jr. Elected to Board of Directors of ACTS

WEST POINT, PA — ACTS Retirement-Life Communities has elected Rev. George R. Gunn, Jr., to its Board of Directors, which is comprised of dedicated individuals who embrace the company’s not-for-profit mission, and share their expertise in the many aspects of senior living.

Rev. Gunn previously served as Chief Executive Officer of ACTS from 1995 to 2005, following a 30-year career in marketing and advertising serving Fortune 500 clients. His leadership contributed greatly to the growth in ACTS’ ministry as it became the nation’s largest not-for-profit owner, manager and developer of continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), which the organization remains today. “Given his in-depth understanding of our organization’s purpose and ministry, we are pleased to once again have Rev. Gunn’s contributions to ACTS as a member of our board,” said ACTS President and CEO, Marvin Mashner.

Mr. Gunn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and a Master’s degree in business administration from Temple University, and a Masters of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Gunn has served on numerous for-profit and many non-profit Boards during his career, and currently serves on the board of Biblical Theological Seminary, and Grove City College. He also served as past chairman and currently as a continuing member of the Pennsylvania Council on Aging, whose members serve as advocates for all segments of the aging population.
